- Alan W. Flenner participated in a panel speaking on land conservation at a November 3, 2011 program co-sponsored by the Real Estate Committee and the Environmental and Energy Law Committee of the Montogmery Bar Association.
- Mary Cushing Doherty and Stephanie E. Murphy were featured speakers at the Pennsylvania Bankers Association's 2011 Wealth Management and Trust Conference and Exhibition in Hershey on October 25, 2011.

- Kenneth R. Myers and Alan W. Flenner presented at the Pennsylvania Land Law seminar on Thursday, June 23, 2011, in Fort Washington, PA.

- Thomas D. Rees was a featured speaker at the PBI's 17th Annual Employment Law Institute, April 27-28, 2011, at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia.
April 27-28, 2011 Mr. Rees co-presented the session, "Breaking Up is Hard to Do: Pitfalls and Practical Advice on Ending the Employment Relationship." The 2011 program marks Mr. Rees's 11th appearance as a speaker at the Institute. More information may be found at www.pbi.org.
- Alan W. Flenner spoke at the Montgomery Bar Association seminar, "Real Estate presents: Uniform Construction Code Appeals Board" on Thursday, April 14, 2011.

The CLE seminar focused on how an appeals board is formed, who serves on them, what jurisdiction they have, the application process from filing to hearings held, and the process of appealing a determination. Mr. Flenner discussed the municipal perspective and jurisdictional portions of the programs.

April 13, 2011 Mary Cushing Doherty was a Course Planner for the event, and served as Moderator of the Plenary session, "Introduction to Pennsylvania's New Child Custody Law and Parenting Plan". - William F. Kerr, Jr., was a featured speaker at the Pennsylvania Land Boundaries and Access Rights Seminar (DOC)
March 18, 2011 The day-long seminar, designed for attorneys, engineers, surveyors and architects, focused on legal matters pertaining to land boundaries and access rights. Mr. Kerr presented three portions of the program including "Locating and Understanding Easements and Rights of Way," "Eminent Domain and Condemnation Law," and "Understanding Adverse Possession."

The webcast addressed Act 112 of 2010, signed into law by Governor Rendell on November 23, 2010, which essentially re-writes Child Custody law in Pennsylvania. Ms. Doherty and Ms. Boyd discussed the new rules and form changes that will be needed under the new law.

- Dina Schlossberg and William F. Kerr, Jr. participated in the "2010 Homes Within Reach" Conference sponsored by the Housing Alliance of Pennsylvania.
November 8-10, 2010 Dina Schlossberg moderated a panel at the "2010 Homes Within Reach" Conference sponsored by the Housing Alliance of Pennsylvania. Ms. Schlossberg has been involved with the Housing Alliance of Pennsylvania for several years, which is dedicated to ensuring safe, decent and affordable housing for all Pennsylvanians. The conference was November 8-10, 2010 at the Hilton Harrisburg, PA and Ms. Schlossberg participated in the session, "Expand Your Tax Credit Toolbox." William F. Kerr, Jr. also presented a session entitled "Real Estate Tax Issues Affecting Affordable Housing."

Ken Myers moderated a panel of speakers discussing the impact of Marcellus Shale development on the environment, part of a conference at Lake Wallenpaupack. The panel included James Seif, past Regional Administrator of EPA Region 3 and past Secretary of the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection, David Kovach of the Delaware River Basin commission, geologists and landowners’ association leaders. With the potential for 10,000 new wells per year, Marcellus development is the controversial economic and environmental “game changer” of the century for Pennsylvania.

Mary Cushing Doherty and Joo Y. Park discussed what new support advocacy strategies have emerged in 2010 and how to present earning capacity issues in a dreary economic climate. Their presentation included a discussion of recent cases issuing from the Superior and Supreme Court, which appellate cases no longer apply to pending support litigation and how courts in general are interpreting changes in divorce legislation.

September 15, 2010 Thomas D. Rees participated in "Twittervention: Social Media & Legal Issues for Employers, Educators & Parents" at Harrisburg University on September 15, 2010. The Social Media Summit was a free day-long learning event featuring authors, experts, organizational leader and scholars participating in a series of panel discussions on how social networking is changing the law, governments and workplaces, and bringing about business innovation.

August 25, 2010 Thomas D. Rees presented "An Employer's Guide to Facebook, Twitter, Blogging and MySpace," at the Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce August 25, 2010. The program was offered at the Chamber Office, the Historic King Of Prussia Inn, King of Prussia, PA. This "Lunch & Learn" Seminar discussed the influx of legal issues social media have created for employers.
- Pennsylvania Bar Institute Seminar: Act 46 Automatic Permit Extensions
August 24, 2010 Alan W. Flenner, J.D. P.E., was a faculty member for the Pennsylvania Bar Institute's August 24, 2010 telephone seminar on Act 46 Automatic Permit Extensions. Pennsylvania Act 46 of July 6, 2010, which primarily amends the Pennsylvania Fiscal Code, also grants automatic extensions to land use and building construction approvals. His portion of the seminar will focus on Act 46's effect on stormwater management and regulation, and the permit fee and verification provisions of the Act.
- Municipal Storm and Waste Water Discharges Seminar, sponsored by the Montgomery Bar Association
April 29, 2010 Alan W. Flenner, J.D., P.E., was a featured speaker at the Montgomery Bar Association's CLE Seminar, "Municipal Storm and Waste Water Discharges - MS4s, TMDLs, and the MPC." The seminar explored the complex, intergovernmental area of municipal management and waste load allocation for both storm water and waste water discharges.

March 26-27, 2010 Alan W. Flenner, J.D., P.E., spoke at the Pennsylvania Bar Institute's Land Use Institute in Philadelphia. Mr. Flenner was a panelist on the program, "Water Facilities Planning and Permitting."

August 12, 2009 Kenneth R. Myers and Alan W. Flenner were featured speakers at the Montgomery Bar Association's Environmental Law Seminar. The seminar focused on current energy issues and how they affect business and residential consumers. Mr. Myers presentation concentrated on Ethics, and Mr. Flenner discussed, "High Performance Building Regulations."
