Douglas Wayne joined High Swartz in 2016 as the result of a merger with McNamara, Bolla & Panzer P.C. Doug worked at MB&P for three years practicing workers’ compensation defense, personal injury, contract, real estate, employment law and general civil litigation. Prior to his work for MB&P, Doug was a workers’ compensation claimants’ counsel, Social Security advocate, and civil litigator in Pennsylvania since 1993 and in Bucks County since 1995.
Doug is a longstanding member of the Bucks County Bar Association and the Workers’ Compensation section. He served as co-chair of the Workers’ Compensation Section from 2007 to 2009 and 2017-2018. Doug participates in Continuing Legal Education seminars in the area of workers’ compensation law. He also has experience in unemployment law and has appeared before the Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission.
Legal writing and research are one of Doug’s areas of greatest strength. Doug served as a judicial law clerk in the State of Vermont from 1989 to 1993 and has maintained his interest in legal writing and appellate practice. Doug has written appellate briefs for the Pennsylvania Workers’ Compensation Appeal Board, the Commonwealth Court, the Superior Court and the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania.
